We're Hiring - Marketing Lead

Full time | London (Islington HQ, multi-site) | Salary Dependent on Experience

About Lowlu

Lowlu is London’s sauna and cold plunge brand, rooted in Finnish contrast therapy and built around one simple idea: a weekly reset that leaves you feeling better than when you arrived. We have sites in Kentish Town and Wandsworth, with Ilford opening soon. We are early, fast-moving, and serious about building something that lasts.

The role

Most people who try Lowlu come back. Your job is to make sure more people try it, and that every single touchpoint whether that’s a flyer, a caption, an email, or a notification nudges them one step closer to making it a weekly habit.

Content is a big part of that. Social, email, short-form copy, on-site video. You will own it hands-on from day one. But this is not just a content role. You will work across the full mix: retention, partnerships, campaign planning, and whatever else needs picking up as we grow. This is hands on execution in a startup.

We are looking for someone comfortable with breadth, who can move between a creative brief and a campaign analysis without losing their footing. As Lowlu opens new sites and the team scales, the expectation is that you scale with it. This is an early hire at a business with real momentum, and that means real room to grow into a senior marketing leader.

If you want to help build something that has a real impact on people’s lived for the better and you like the sound of fast decision making and taking responsibility from day one then this is the role for you.

What you will do

  • Own and grow our organic social presence, developing a creative voice and content strategy that consistently reflects and strengthens the Lowlu brand.
  • Own the full customer journey from the first time someone sees a flyer to the moment they book their third visit and identify where brand and content can do more at each stage.
  • Short term you’ll be shooting and editing short-form video and photo content on site. Medium term you’ll be managing offshored editing resources.
  • Write and test short-form copy across every channel and format: captions, CTAs, subject lines, ad copy, WhatsApp messages, in-app notifications, flyer headlines; with the instinct to know what lands and what doesn’t.
  • Edit and proof longer-form content including blog posts, SEO articles and campaign briefs, produced in collaboration with specialists.
  • Plan and execute email campaigns to our member base, understanding how email sits within a broader customer journey rather than as a standalone channel.
  • Create content for paid social campaigns on Meta.
  • Take on increasing ownership of additional channels and eventually direct reports as the marketing function grows.

What we're looking for

  • 3-5+ years in a marketing or content role, ideally at a startup, scaleup or FMCG brand where pace and quality both mattered.
  • A strong instinct for brand. You can feel the difference between a touchpoint that builds trust and one that erodes it.
  • A genuine understanding of the customer journey and how brand influences behaviour from the physical to the digital and everything in between.
  • A joined-up marketing brain. You understand how channels work together and can think across the full picture, not just the next post.
  • AI-literate and actively using AI tools in your workflow. This is a genuine requirement, not a nice to have.
  • Strong video editing skills and a confident eye for short-form content. You know what works before it goes out.
  • Comfortable behind a camera as well as in the edit. You can go on site, find the moment and bring it back.
  • A natural short-form writer. Captions, subject lines, CTAs, flyer copy you write them quickly and they sound like a human being, not a brand template or Ai slop.
  • Comfortable owning a channel independently with strategic guidance rather than a detailed brief for every piece of work.
  • Ambitious. You want to lead, not just execute. You are looking for a role that grows with you.
  • Organised and systems-minded. You think about how content gets made at scale, not just how the next post looks.

Where this role goes

We are building a marketing function from a lean base and this hire is central to that. This is a role without limits for the right candidate. If that excites you, we want to hear from you.

What we offer

  • The salary is depending on experience but we reward the best.
  • A clear path to leadership. This role is designed to grow into something bigger.
  • Free access to Lowlu sites. The product is genuinely brilliant for your mental and physical health and we want you to use it.
  • A lean, founder-led environment where decisions get made quickly and good ideas get acted on. No committee sign-offs, no agency layers.
